Dexter's house is slightly disheveled. Not that Dexter is damaging to his property, he just doesn't concern himself with a high standard of upkeep. The brown lawn is short enough, however, so there's not going to be any grief about it.

Dexter Jacobs, a retired farmer, has lived alone ever since his wife Sil passed on a few months ago. Since, he's been a sad man. He tries to keep a happy face for the children, but even they can see it in his eyes. He attends church most of the time.
