The Rhodes family are known to be a wild bunch. Not in the upset the social order sort of way, more in the they do their own thing sort of way. In their small old red and blue house by County 133, the Rhodes seem happy. They do not, however, seem to be able to keep their lawn upkept. So much for not upsetting the social order.
Carl Rhodes is a trucker in that he drives a semi-truck for a living. Thus, he's not around too much. When he is, there's usually a barbecue either over at his best buddy Darryl Shelton's or at home. He can also sometimes be found at one of the town's two bars or at a softball game.
Butterum Rhodes is both the head bartender and server at The Wiley Steer. Not only is she, thus, one of the few women in Brody to have a full time job, she's also not home very many nights. She's a fun, tough-talking type who the regulars know not hassle... too much. She goes to church only occasionally, kids in tow.
One half of the "Rhodes Twins," Dustin is very much like his brother. The two can be seen running around the town, playing with sticks, and rocks. Both are athletic, slightly feral, and always dirty. They don't seem to care what the other kids think of them, and the other kids love them for it. Even in their scant 9 years, the two are already something of a legend among the neighborhood children. They like to catch toads and that sort of thing.

Kitty Rhodes, age 4, loves her brothers very much. Or, at least, that's what one would assume by the way she constantly follows them around. That, or that she's in need of a parental figure. Sometimes the boys don't put up too much of a fight, and Kitty's happy. Other times, they run off and leave her crying. Either way, they stick up for their sister, not that she really needs it. Kitty may be small, she may be cute, but she inherited her family's toughness and free spirit. Kitty goes to kindergarten.
