Brody is a small town (see map for relative meaning of small) in south-central Iowa near the Missouri border. It shares Decayne county with three other towns. Of the four towns, Brody is the smallest.
Merton, located alongside county road 39, is most notable for its inspiring town-wide Christmas display. Red Lake, reached via county road 133, is known for both its proximity to Lake Red and for being the home of the major non-agricultural regional employer; Farewell Chemical. Dansbury, the county seat, can be reached most directly by way of the gravel road 3rd street becomes upon passing the Brody city limits.
